We're on the look out for 2 new Moderators - Fancy it ?
What is a Moderator?
A moderator is a user with elevated privileges and access to all private areas with a Control Panel area, these privileges also include access to the following options:
* Hide Post - Remove a post from public view whether it's spam or whether you want to verify something
* Edit Post - Edit the content of someones post
* Issue Infraction - Add an infraction to a users account for rule violations
* Issue a Ban - Spam user, or a user that genuinely needs a timeout, can be issued.
A moderator is expected to use these functions to help enforce the BFI rules: http://www.bmwforums.info/misc.php?do=vsarules. The goal is to create a friendly environment that welcomes all users and allows for constructive discussion all round.
The average moderator day includes checking user submitted reports received by email for bad content, spamming and generally looking for bad content that needs to be removed.
What is the Moderator structure?
@Ferret and @Ronnie. All site issues go through Ferret, all user issues go through Ronnie.
* Super Moderator
@Steve and @NealP - All issues that can't be resolves by Moderator are then raised to Super Moderators.
@simonsays @Mark@Vorny.co.uk @dailydoggy @StK @Kevin Whittaker @MartynD
What do we look for in a potential moderator?
A user that is mature, contributes positively both to the technical community and general community and has an interest in positively influencing the forum further. We do not have any restrictions. Experience in vBbulletin software is an advantage, but not necessary as we can teach you. Please, if you feel you can do this job, then apply. Everyone is welcome to apply. BUT, remember this 'job' is unpaid. ALL site staff, be it Admins, Super Mods or Moderators all do it for free because we love doing it
What do we expect from a moderator?
All we ask is you can dedicate a couple of hours a day to BMWForums.info a day moderating. You'll need to move threads to the correct sections, rename thread titles and approve "For Sale" adverts according to our for sale rules.
Do moderators get paid?
Nope! It's a volunteer position. You will get a load of shit you have to deal with, but it's all unpaid, myself included, Sorry,
I have more questions!
Post any questions here and we'll answer them for you.

Include a short description on why you'd make a good Moderator for BFI.
Myself and @Ronnie will decide the outcome and let you know in due course.
Thanks and good luck,
