Thought that it was my poor driving to start with but my car is now occasionally stalling. Happens when you put the clutch in when
you come to a stop. Engine does not stall all of the time but I have also noticed that the revs sometimes drop to 500rpm and then pick up again
to a normal idle.
Done some reading around on the web and a common cause can be splits in the air intake boots. I checked these last year when I changed
my CCV valve and they all looked good. Have just removed the air filter housing to double check and all look ok.
Changed the seal in the DISA valve earlier this year. Flap on DISA rotated without any play so can probably rule this out.
Fired up the BMW INPA and scanned for errors but none have come up. I did check an option on the INPA called shadow memory (Not sure what this is?)
and it came up with the following error. This error is listed 4 times.
The only other thing I can think of is that maybe the MAF needs cleaning/replacing?
As always any help/suggestions would be appreciated.
