I had 2 brand new rear tyres fitted today and the front tyres rebalanced, wheels all tightened up and torqued to 130n/m (it's what I had with spacers)
The car had a full 4 wheel alignment on tuesday with the old tyres on mind you.
On the drive back home I felt the rear of the car car wanted to crab on the odd occasion (in a straight-line) which was a bit strange, it wasn't constant and it only happened when I was doing about 65 MPH+, the drive there didn't yield such issues.
Going around corners and everything all seemed ok.
One thing to mention though is that I didn't have any of my centre caps on the drive back home as I wanted to clean them up and touch up some paint flaking off around the hub area on the alloys, I can't imagine it affecting the aerodynamics not having them but as cars seem really sensitive it might have done.
The caps will go back on tomorrow so I'm going for a test drive then.
I maybe jumping the gun here but did I just suffer a case of brand new tyres being a bit squirmy or has something gone amiss?
