So I am back in the saddle with a BMW.
A few little niggles though.
The car has 74400 miles on the clock and runs like a dream but I have noticed on the motorway the temp is remaining cool, only when stationary does the car hit 90c, From what I remember of my 320d days it will be the thermostat stuck open thus it needs to be changed, correct me if I am wrong.
Also the car is auto and I understand this has a traditional cable throttle, When pulling up to a set of lights or coming to a stop with my foot of the accelerator the revs bounce between idle and 1200 / 1300 rpm and then once stopped the revs sit nicely at idle. There is no lumpy or rough running, what could be the cause here?
Other than that, the car is awesome, surprisingly good on fuel if your light footed but that is soon down the pan if you wish to "push on". Very powerful and plenty of torque. The history is epic, tonnes of receipts and Inspection II carried out 2000 miles ago.
