Newbie alert! And this is my first post, so please, take it easy with me! I hope this is the right place to ask my first question?
So, I bought myself a 2007 pre LCI E91 320d last month and I love it!
I have one or two small problems with it, but will concentrate on my immediate concern only so this post is kept clean and to one subject....
So, I have a smell of diesel in the cabin when the car is stationary. A quick look under the bonnet with a few covers off and I can see smoke is being blown out from the outlet side of the turbo where it joins the exhaust. It is very clear this is where the leak is.
I bought the car privately but it still had a comprehensive 3rd party warranty with it which I have transferred to myself. The previous owner has had the turbo replaced about 6 months ago on this warranty policy, so I'm pretty sure the exhaust has not been connected back to the turbo properly.
I'm happy to redo the seal myself if its not too big a job, but I can't find any diagrams, pictures or how to's on the specific replacement of this connection from exhaust to turbo on the outlet side. If its a big job, then I'll see if the warranty will honor it in some kind of guarantee from works done previously.
Essentially, just looking for some guidance of how big the job is and any pictures would be a huge bonus!
I'll get some pics up soon of my new motor as soon as I get chance!
Thanks in advance guys.
