With all this commotion going on about the MOT and DPFs it crossed my mind that people need proof that the have or have not got a DPF fitted.
If a MOT tester reckons you had a DPF fitted by the manufacturer I cant see that insisting the tail pipe turning down will convince him or that the soot in your exhaust is evidence!
Considering that some people opted to have a DPF fitted and that some testers could insist you had a DPF originally I looked at RealOEM but that wasnt conclusive.
There were no turned down tailpipes on it anyway to compare.
The only thing that MAY tell you if you definitely had a DPF fitted was a that it shows a EU4 and EU3 version and that the EU3 seemed to have the DPF whereas the EU4 didnt.
My registration document says my E90 is a VC32 variant and an EU04 01 version.
Anyone know if the EU04 and EU4 would be the same reference?
TBH I've had MOT testers tell me complete bollocks in the past and I dont trust them
Apologise that this is a copy and paste of the same thread I posted on another forum
