well yesterday I was in a little rush to get somewhere and from cold the engine may have been revved a little harsh oooops.
So I had been to where I needed and driven back home, did a little work on the car (handbrake adjust etc) and also attempted the removal of the vacuum pipe from the exhaust to see if the noise was a little different (Butterfly valve constant open), what I did not do was seal the vacuum pipe, and whilst the car was in N I may have revved the engine to see what the noise was all about, I noticed straight away that it did not rev all the way through and the traction control light came on immediately, I immediately switched the engine off.
So I dropped the car onto the deck, the engine was running lumpy, so I tool for a drive and there felt as if there was little power, power felt like it was pulsing when at a stand still. After a 1/2 mile I switched the engine off, locked the car, unlocked and restarted, car was fine and perfect, revving freely and pulling as normal.
Today, the car starts perfect, popping slightly with little rev bursts so I go to get some fuel, and wait for a friend to arrive, engine sat idling for about 3 - 5 minutes and again the lumpy idle begins but not as bad, I pull off and see if power has gone but not at all.
I am at a loss, I have read so much on MAF issues etc but could it be to with a coil pack or the plugs............. Clutching at straws.
