Wow now I have two threads side by side in the 3 series forum haha, it seems I now have an engine niggle.
Went to start the car this morning, seemed to start fine but the revs went up to nearly 2k then idled a bit off. Reversed off the drive when I noticed it was very erratic. Pulling away with little throttle sent the revs silly high compared to normal, and when lifting the clutch it instantly wanted to stall. It seems any load on the engine and it just wants to cut out.
When I got going the ride was not smooth, at steady throttle the car would leap forward and back randomly as if I was on and off the pedal abruptly, mpg needle was also all over the shop. Once back at home I switched off and then restarted, but still the same problem. I shut it off again, left it for 15mins and after that it was fine, the idle was normal again and I could rev it like before.
This exact same problem has happened once before over xmas, and I got the same codes. After putting it on inpa just now these are the codes I have. Please note the first 3 errors were current before this problem, lambda codes have been coming up ever since owning the car and the camshaft code is a faulty sensor I need to replace.
Edit: I apploogise for the small pic, codes are as follows:
2782 CDKH2 Camshaft sensor outlet - not related
2724 CDKLSH2 Oxygen sensor2 after cat - not related
2727 CDKLASH2 Lambda sensor ageing after cat bank 2 - not related
2799 CDKDVEUB Abort DV-adaptation because of environment - new code
2783 CDKLM Hot film air mass meter - new code
Now that the car runs smooth again, it seems I have this loud ticking noise, not affect by engine revs so I am assuming it's something to do with exhaust emissions control, it comes and goes. Never noticed this before, I presume it's related to the above problem. I will get the video up in a tick.
Any help would be massively appreciated, something's clearly not working properly but I'm not sure what I should be looking for.
