My 318is has today developed an aircon issue. Everything was working fine until I switched it all off by pushing the - button on the fan control when it was on the lowest setting. As described in the owner's manual this switched everything off with nothing displayed on the screen.
A few hours later I got in the car and it was hot from the sun so, once the engine was running I pressed the fan + button to get it working again..... nothing. So I pressed the aircon button ..... nothing. So I then pressed each button and got absolutely no response from the heater/aircon system at all. No displays, no fan, no nothing.
Checking the manual the system should come back into life when any button is pressed. I have looked at all the fuses in the fuse box and they all appear intact. I have swapped out the relays in the main fuse box and still no joy. I have even disconnected the battery and then reconnected it to see if the system would re-set itself.
Is there another fuse I'm not aware of that supplies power to the heater/aircon control unit? It's as if the power supply has been cut off.
Any help/advice would be appreciated guys.
