Changed all shocks. was deciding whether to go coilovers or shocks and in the end after reading a lot of people who state that their coilovers lasted less than 2 years and some longer, i went down the route of shocks.
I bought Meyle shocks all around and they seem good so far. Slightly firmer than i expected but feel nice and solid when going highway speeds (as you would from a new set of shocks anyway) I dont know if the slight harshness is due to them being m sport or the fact that i changed the wishbone bushes and rtabs with meyle hd aswell but the car deifnitely feels tight and this is before an alignment.
One thing to note, if your going to change the front struts, make sure you have some bolts spare as one side came out nice and easy but the other side -thats a different story. The strut pinch bolt snapped off and this was after applying heat tot eh threaded side- didnt budge. Luckily i had a spare hub laying around (as you do) and managed to swap it over Im in the process of removing the bolt from the old hub but with 10.6 grade hardened steel i got through 1-2 mm with 10 minutes of drilling- not fun at all if you have to do it on the car!! I got a new m12 x 1.55mm thread and put a nut at the end too with some anti seize. I would say be prepared for the nut to snap otherwise youl be in a ton of crap especially if you need the car urgently too
