Have searched all over the web and cant find an actual answer anywhere.
I done a engine swap on my 98 Compact last month, to a 98 323 (2.5) M52. I've removed the charcoal canister, the blue pipe now vents to atmosphere and the hose that went into the bottom of the air pump thing, is now blocked. The car also has a chipped ECU.
Now, when the cars started from cold, it wont idle. I have to hold the revs up for a few seconds, then it will idle around 500rpm, although may still hunt a bit. When warm it idles smoothly at 600rpm.
The car smells (as in emissions...) at all times, I've put it on the emissions tester and it was out, although the car wasnt fully warm (was in a rush).
The cars potentially down on power by the feels, although I'm not certain. I put the code reader on which came up with something along the lines of:
02 Sensor (cyl 1-3) heater circuit
02 Sensor (cyl 4-6) control limit (controls cyl 1-6)
Or something along those lines.
There cars also got stainless manifolds on, and admittedly is missing one bolt, although all the others are tight with a new gasket.
Any help would be hugely appreciated.
