After several years away, im back and now own a 2010 LCI 325d SE. Im doing a bit of work on her interior to get her right and im restoring the won out trim on the b pillars (the ones where the seat belts come out of) now the material on these (Perl Gray) is worn out and needs replacing. As i cant find any whole assemblies cheap to buy and replace as one item im thinking of a couple of options. Mainly to recover the grey parts with the material. But I cant find a descent colour match, can anyone point me in the right direction for some headlining material \ scrim laterial that will do the job for these grey pillars.
Similarly the black trim below that is all scuffed and scratched from the seat belts so I intend to lightly sand them and use a het gun to give them a light restore....unless anyone has any other tricks they can suggest I thought I may give it a wirl.
My third idea is if i cant the the material or remove these scratches sufficiently, wrap the whole pillar items and black lower door trim in a matte silver wrap...as i have the glacier silver trim. Just wandered what people thought about this.
