Hi all, This has probably been brought up a million times but can any one point me in the right direction. I knew when I acquired the car it had this Hunting problem at idle it is very Lumpy & idles away around 400 to 800 Rpm at first cold start it seems to be fine but then after a couple of mins starts the lumpy idle. The EML light & SRS lights are on. When bought there was a plastic air intake manifold in the boot i don't know if this has been swapped over or has just been left as previous Owner said when put on diagnosis that there was a manifold leak I do have the print out that say's this. I had a look at the spare manifold & can see a slight crack where it bolts on. Although to me where and the size of the crack suggests this would not be the cause of a leak. There was exhaust gases escaping from the back section & Tonight the whole thing must have given way as when I starrted it after coming out the shops it sounded like a Tractor but the revs have seemed to even out. Could having a hole in the exhaust cause hunting problems. I would have thought if anything exhaust related it would be the Lambda. I am going to weld the exhaust Tomorrow & Clean MAF TB etc & have a good look at this manifold. also there is an extra seat belt tensioner plugged in to its connector underneath the drivers seat I assume this was to try sort the SRS light but it has not worked lol. can anyone help please thanks Kenny.
