    crankshaft sensor fitting

    HI Folks first easy post so be kind
    Do you need to take off the intake manifold to swap this over
    I have a 2002 compact ti auto

    changed the cam sensor exhaust but need to do this one now

    The manifold does have to come off. I have been told you can do it without but I have yet to manage it. The manifold isn't too bad to remove, just fiddly.

    If it is the N42 engine just get the manifold off, I took my alternator off to make more space. Also watch that you don't damage the pipes from the CCV, losen the one from the camshaft cover before you take out the injection, I damaged mine and they are 20 plus.
