I am new to the forum, so really excited.
Anyway here I go with the problem.
So few months ago I had the ABS light came on, after visiting the local garage, it was established that it was the pump. So he said I can go to BMW and pay for a new one around £2000 or he can get it repaired from Actronics for total of £600 including his labour. As the car had warranty that would pay for repairs upto that amount, I agreed.
Now that I am few months down the line, the light has come back on and again it is saying the pump again. I know I can go back to the garage, however this job was carried out in Cambridgeshire where I was but now I haves down south.
So my option is I can take the car back to him, which is very long, or I can go to a local garage get them to take it of and send it off to Actronic, but that means I have to pay for labour. Or I call the warranty company again but I don't know they will pay out again on the same fault.
So my question is, has anybody had this problem twice and how I can go about it. Also could it be something else but coming up with the pump fault. I have also carried out some hard emergency stops and the pedal kicks back and stops quickly without the wheels locking, so seems the ABS is working.
All hep and ideas will be appreciated.
