Yes this is my third thread of the day, the other two being general enquiries, this one unfortunately being about a problem.
This is my second 323i, recently acquired and until today, without fault. Went for a thrash this evening on some country roads as the sun was going down. On the way home I pulled over and nipped into a shop. Upon attempting to start the car again she wouldnt fire up on the first, second or third turn of the key and only started on the fourth turn with some throttle. I let it idle then blipped the throttle and noticed it was reving up a bit lumpy below 2k. I let it idle a while then drove off and sure enough she was a bit rough below 2k and generally felt a bit lacking in power. Shes been running fine until today but did notice a couple of times yesterday and the day before it was taking a little bit longer cranking over when the car was up to temperature.
323i with July 1998 NON Nikasil Lump.
Does need an oil and plug service.
Starts fine from freezing cold.
Injectors are NOT batch firing.
Throttle body rubber boot is quite new looking.
I guess if it carries on doing it ill need to get her plugged in but any suggestions in the meantime?
