First BMW ive owned, was royally stitched up by the seller!
Cars a 1996 320i convertible (Yes the roof does leak!)
Have had several issues with overheating since I bought it, have replaced Thermostat and housing, radiator and now seems to be running slightly better. Appears to have a problem with the Head Gasket as its getting condensation out of the exhaust and some sludge on the oil cap. Have spoken to a mechanic who advised Gasket will be a nightmare to change so has advised trying to put some K Seal through the coolant system which should hopefully seal up any leaks/splits. However, the coolant system needs to be running fully pressurised how it to work properly and I seem to be losing pressure through the heating matrix. Disconnected in and out pipes in the engine bay just below the windscreen and tried to flush through with a hose which seemed to be fine, however when engine is running I get the water coming out just not flowing with a lot of pressure, and the heating doesn't seem to warm up (Fans blowing all okay though)
Im beginning to lose faith in the car as im already looking at spending a further few hundred to get the leak in the roof fixed and possibly an engine change if the K Seal doesn't work!
Can anybody possibly point me in a few directions to try?!
