You could well need a new VVT but as both P1050 & P1062 error codes are listed in this similar thread with the advice to clean the connector plug & sensor, imo it's certainly worth 10 mins of your time to check them out?

Thanks for the reply i have looked into the connectors the eccentric shaft sensor was oiled up a bit i cleaned it will see if that sorts it out i have noticed the vvt makes a grinding noise for about a second after startup

He used to tap the VVT motor gently and it would free itself for a few days but ultimately a new VVT motor was fitted & that was the solution, I'll check 2morra exactly what his fault codes were
