Had a quick search of the forum for this one, but seemingly not a common problem.
I had all the shocks changed on my E92 recently and whatever the garage did has resulted in some massive rattling noises coming from the front brake heat shields on both sides.
The car's been back to the garage twice now - both times I was promised it was fixed - but it's still there. Unfortunately it's a difficult noise to reproduce but there's a particularly bumpy stretch of road which I hit daily on the way to work that guarantees it comes back - as a result it takes me until the following morning to realise it's not been fixed.
Due to my working hours and a loss of faith in the garage I'm hesitant to leave it with them a third time for another 48 hours.
Is this a common problem? Is it easy to fix? Besides incompetency, is there a reason why they wouldn't have noticed the problem after fitting the shocks, and a further two visits after?
