I have fitted my external DTRL's to my BMW saloon 325i having mounted them in the bumper on the plastic section near the fog lights. Picture to follow when completed. I have used a DTRL aftermarket relay with a terminal from the dipped beam so they switch off when the main lights are on.
The last wire needs a feed from the ignition and I am wondering where is the best / easiest place to make the final connection. According to my Haynes manual the fuse box is behind the glove box but there might be somewhere under the bonnet that I could use.
Advice welcome from anyone who has done it or knows a good pick up point that is live when the engine is running / ignition on ?
Obviously I would put in a line fuse at the connection point to avoid a short circuit should the wiring become trapped. I have put the wiring to the DTRL's inside a round plastic spiral conduit to keep it tidy under the bonnet and keep water out.
