(sorry to start a new thread on this, but I tried posting on one of the old ones and it wasn't coming up in the 'new posts', so figured I'd just start a new one).
Hi all For some unknown reason the airbag warning light has come on and won't go off? I can't think of anything that might have caused this but as the MOT is due next month clearly I've got to get it sorted.
As a bit of a numpty with car electrics and diagnostics (because I've never had to do any before), what kit do I need to reset this please?
If I got something like this B800 reset tool (or something similar),BMW SRS Airbag Light Reset Tool 94-03 B800, For E36 E46 Z3 Z4 E34 E38 E39 E53 X5 E65 would that do it? I know I'd have to clear the code and address what the issue was first of course. I haven't had the wheel off, so not disturbed the driver's airbag, I've looked under the seats and everything seems fine there (nobody ever sits in the passenger side, other than me if I'm cleaning or something.
Only thing I noticed was the connector on the passenger's side seatbelt pretensioner (between the seats, right at the side of where the passenger seatbelt connects, felt a little loose and pushed in a few mm when I felt at it. Wondering if it's this, although no idea how it's come loose. Pushed in home now but obviously the light's still on.
At a bit of a loss really, so hoping someone on here can help me?
