    E91 320D DSC Hydro Failure (Again)?

    Morning all.

    Firstly my usual apologies as I haven't been around in a while again, house selling/buying & moving has been quite a life consumption for the last 3 months!

    So, I have a new house, a broken Calibra, a probably broken boiler & now this.....

    Starts by displaying the DTC, Tyre pressure warning & Brake Fluid (I think) level in amber & in sequence then reverts to the above picture. The really odd thing is when this happens & the above is displaying my indicators stop auto-cancelling??

    Turn ignition off, leave a minute, turn back on again & it goes away for a short period of time but generally can't get more than about 30 mins of driving until it's back again & bye-bye indicator auto-cancel (which is really bloody annoying).

    A bit of a Google suggests that it's the well known DSC hydro unit failure (although this one has been replaced once before by the previous owner about 6-7 years ago, I have the receipt). Before I go looking at the repair units though, couple of things to note here;

    I replaced my rear discs & pads several months ago & thought I'd get away with re-using the sensor as it hadn't tripped. Didn't realise that they were resistor based so the service light still came on about a month later & I let it go about 2.5k overdue before fitting the new sensor & resetting the service comp for it.

    My brake fluid service is overdue but the level is not low.

    Don't know if either of those could be related.

    I do have INPA so what faults would I be looking for if it were a failed hydro unit again & in general, anyone got any thoughts, wisdom, knowledge to share on this?

    Cheers.

    Apologies for jumping your thread!

    Hi Dan,
    I have been reading through your turbo replacement thread which has helped me out no end!!! Thanks for it being so well written. I am how over though struggling to get the nuts off the exhaust to turbo. Do you have any advice?

    That's a different set up to mine, the dpf on mine secured to the turbo with a clamp (which was a pig) so I had no nuts to contend with.

    As it's taken me 5 days to see this, have you sorted it yet?

    Also still haven't got around to doing anything about my issue in this topic so can anyone offer any opinions on that?
