I got a e46 320d msport about 2 months ago (had some issues with it had another tread before) but some idiot decided to crash into the front of it and write it off completely (£4500 in damages car was worth £3800)
so now im on the look out again for something around the 100,000 mile mark with abput £4000 to spend
ive looked at 330d instead as for some reason the insurance is cheaper than a 320. ive looked at threads regarding things to look out for on those so clued up on that aspect but i was wondering if anyone had anything else to add, im looking for a manual but also something that would hold its value well. wondering what colour does this best? have seen a individual one with piano black interior and the individual dark blue paint work(unsure on what its called?) but someone said the colour was not that great, its had a new clutch and flywheel. on the other hand i have seen a 320d in impala red (which i have heard is quite rare) remapped, new turbo and engine clean out and clutch and fly wheel.
cant decide on what would be the best route to go, buying a 330d (as i know the engines are bulletproof within reason) and leaving it with the standard power maybe a remap later or getting another 320d and then remapping to get the same as the 330, mpg is not really a massive thing for me so that isn't counting towards my decision.
but then on a completely different note my mate is trying to sell me his e90 525d msport, new suspension, clutch, flywheel, terra clean generally well looked after but its sat on 199,956 miles, but he only want £2000 for it
