Fluid capacity and original service parts data required.

    -lpic2431-jpg-jpg

I managed to get for my 635 all the original fluid types and capacities for everything that holds runny stuff as well as original part numbers/ makers of spark plugs and stuff, this also included some modern replacements/equivalents. I got that info from a tractor dealership funnily enough just by talking to the fella. Well, I'm not around there anymore but:

    1. I'd like to know if a similar thing can be found on the web for me newly acquired touring?

    2. I also am not very clued up on modern engine code names so is my one (pictured above during it's glory years) a M43B18?

    3. The car is a '99 model but a lot of parts suppliers list only up until '98... why is this? Do I have the BMW equivalent of the Cortina Crusader?

    4. Do 325 brakes bolt on with the carriers and obviously the discs and pads, I gather they will fit behind the 15" rim without an issue?

    5. It's also knocking on 150,000 miles, are there any common issues that may crop up like oil pump fails, chains etc...?

Thanks. That's saying until '98 too? Maybe they stopped making them in '98 and mine was registered in '99? I can't see it making any difference though.

Sorry I can't help you there Rude , maybe check your 318 & the '98 in the weblink are the same by cross referencing using RealOEM ?

I think the Bentley Manual may also hold some fluid info ? BMW E36 Bentley service manual
