E90 320d swirl flap blanks and EGR blank

Hi there, blown the turbo on my 320d and going down the hybrid route, I know the car will still drive with just a hybrid turbo on untill it is mapped in properly for more power, but thinking about blanking the egr and swirl flaps while Iím doing the turbo, Iím just wondering if the car will still run when these are blanked off or will they need mapping in before itís driven?
    Cheers rob

    Hi Rob,

Not 100% but as far as I know the car will run with the swirlflaps blanked and the EGR deleted but the EML will illuminate due to emission sensors flagging up.

Are you thinking of running the car for a while in this condition or just driving it to the remappers ?

Hi simon! Ill have to drive it for about 3/4 days before itís booked in with the dervtec! So thatís the reason Iím hoping for it to run without the map, cheers

If it was me I'd go ahead & blank the swirl flaps off, clean the intake manifold out, clean EGR valve, replace all vacuum pipes but hold off on the EGR delete until the remap.
If it's a standard EGR delete kit you're fitting It'll only take you 10 /15mins to fit it so I'd do that at dervtec & then get the remap?
