    general diesel pump question

    Morning All,

Just got my Bosch VP back from having seals replaced etc and where they have tested it the woodruff key is now in a different position to when I removed it from the car.

Possibly a daft question, but what's the best was to rotate the pump's shaft (ooh err) to the correct position without any special tools or causing any damage ?

    Cheers in advance.

I would put the sprocket and nut on then gently turn it with the nut and a spanner to the correct postion. They are 'effing tight to turn by hand against the cam plates, especially 6 of them...
