    i 2003 Brake Sizes

I've gone and confused myself with my shocking memory.

Please can someone remind me what brake sizes a 52 plate 2003 (Feb) 320i fits?

    Choices are:

    Front - 300mm or 286mm

    Rear - 294mm or 276mm

Neither RealOem or ECP are being particularly useful.

    Thanks in advance.

Pretty sure it's the smaller of the two on both occasions and the bigger are for the 330

Haha ring the dealers and it makes sence actually as the 8v e36s had drums on the back so maybee the less powerful e46 also had smaller brakes.

    330's are indeed 325mm and 320mm...

put ya last 7 digits of vin in realoem and it should tell you your disc size..

standard 320 saloon is usually 294 and 300...

With the Chassis Number Realoem brings up both 294 and 276.

However I've just found an old receipt for the front and it has 286 fitted.

I presume that means 276 rears.

    Thanks guys.

These pads aren't right are they??

With the pad sitting parallel to the edge there is this gap at the top (or am I too used to cycles?):

They have to go back anyway as one of the metal arms has snapped in transit.

    ECP have cocked up.

The pads should be 44mm but they are only 37mm..

I'm going to pop down tomorrow.

ECP are pretty much useless nowadays. Never use mail order for complex parts because part pickers haven't got a clue.

They've actually sent me the right order number though.

I'm going to see what I can do tomorrow.

Actually having to place an order for 4x Pressure sensors tomorrow..
