Check engine light PUZZLE ?! ingnition faults on cylinder 6.. please help !

    Hi Guys,
I really hope some one can help me with my problem.. My check engine light has been coming on intermittently, the fault codes that are coming up are Cylinder 6 ingition faults.
The things i have had done so far are, ignition coil and spark plugs all changed.
injector 6 and 2 swopped to see if the fault moved.. and it hasn't it stayed at 6.

When the light comes on the car runs rough and lumpy. (guttless).
I will add that the light on seems to come on when i do longers runs on a motorway.. just driving around town and to work its fine.

I can only think my next option is to have the wiring tested.

Any help would be greatly welcomed ! THANKS

if there is no other codes registered, ide say wiring check or a compression test see if if its down on no6 cylinder..

long shot is make sure the gasket is intact on inlet manifold to head on no6..

    Hi Mate,

Check the Maf sensor, i had the exact same fault on my car. Unplug it, see if it runs better

    Hope this helps
