    E46 320/325/330 Decat options

    Afternoon all,

Just a quick question regarding decats on M54 engined e46's.
When i was doing my clutch and flywheel, i started the car (in neutral!) to make sure everything was ok, and aside from making a lot of noise, the car ran fine no dash lights etc.

I know that from the manifolds back, my 320ci (2.2) has cats but no sensors.

It has upstream sensors, manifold cats, downstream sensors and then second cats. Does this mean i can remove the second cats and create a little more noise from the car? Looking for some thoughts on this/ and opinoins.

    Cheers

    Lloyd

i removed the secondary cats on my 330 with no problems, and it passed the MOT. Not much more noise either, but I would say that it is better.
