    Wire from engine bay to dash?

    im looking at running some wires from my engine bay to my dash, where is the best grommet? hole? to use?

    I don't know about the E36, but there is normally some by the pedals. Just have a look at the bulk head to see where they are

    If you have to cut a new hold in the grommet make it as small as you can and get some RTV/silicone and seal it up afterwards!

    If your fuse box is on the right hand side as you look in to the engine bay then underneath the box and battery tray there is normally a grommet where you can pass cables through,this takes them in to the passengers foot well space

    As above - behind the fusebox leads to the glovebox area. Right pain though as there an awful lot of wires there already.

    There is also another, which is higher up than the glovebox and leads into the ECU space, but may be easier to route through as there are no wires going through it as standard

    spent ages today looking for a grommet or something, cant see nada lol :(

    on my '95 328i loon, just below the plastic cover for the ecu compartment is a grommet leading through the bulk head to just behind the carpet in passengers footwell
    if you get back to me in the next half hour I will take a picture and post it up
