    Xenon lights,

Hi would it be plug and play on oem xenon lights for a halogen light set up? I understand I will need the light switch as well, would the auto light function work with the xenon set up?

    Thanks,

Not sure about the Xenon's being plug and play, but as for the retro fit of the auto lights, I looked into this once myself and I didn't go ahead with it as it's too much work. You need the LCM, wiring harness and the RLS from the windscreen - And as these are glued in place, they're not easy to change.
The car also has to be recoded to work with the new sensor, but thats the easy part.

Not worth fitting OEM xenons imo. Cost of items like suspension levellers, D2S bulbs + igniters and ballasts will have a big price tag as well as retofitting a lamp washer system.

Nothing is ever easy, I have built a xenon headlight using the projector part from a e36 headlight but I can not get the level right, so thought of getting a set of xenon oem headlights off eBay,

    Thanks for the replies ;-)

Here is a few pic of my home made xenons-imageuploadedbytapatalk1346834507-746348-jpg-imageuploadedbytapatalk1346834554-628128-jpg. The drive is on a slight slope, -imageuploadedbytapatalk1346834663-812657-jpg

    What do you all think,?
I'm still tempted with a oem pair of xenons on eBay, plus a switch and see if it works, am I right in thinking the auto leveller is in the headlight?

So they would be set at a level and not change, Ferret do you know if they would fit and work with the xenon switch?

So what's the difference, because a normal bulb doesnt adjust?

Why do normal bulbs not need to but xenons do?

Because with normal headlights, you adjust them yourself with the adjuster by the headlight switch. With the Xenon setup, that adjuster is gone and it's done automatically, aided by the sensors on the suspension.
