    A few questions.

I've done a few searches and can't find what i'm looking for, so i'm going to put my questions in one thread instead of half a dozen

My car is and E36 320 'vert

    1. The central locking doesnt lock the passenger door from the drivers side, but locks the drivers side from the passenger side, any ideas ??

    2. I didn't get a fob to turn the alarm on and off, can you buy these seperate and can you programme them yourself ?

    3. I want to change my number plate bulbs to white LED's, is it a straight swap ?

    4. How do you remove the chrome kidney grills ? Do they just clip out ? (I want to paint them black)

    5. How easy is it to swap the front suspension from standard to coilovers ?

    Thanks in advance

It depends if the previous owner removed the alarm or not. The previous owner for my 316i removed the alarm and siren (perhaps it was faulty) but left the sensors on the A-pillar and the LED on the centre console (it doesn't flash).

Yes, it is. I just removed the normal licence plate light bulbs and replaced them with LEDs. But beware, LEDs are polar so if they don't work, turn the LEDs the other way. Also, try and get some bright(ish) ones. You'll find that some LEDs are not as bright as you'd think, no matter how good their advertisement is! Go for something that has 6 or more LED spots.

The safest way to do this is to remove the black plastic cover on top of the radiator/grille, and unclip the kidney grilles from the back. There are other ways of taking them out, but there's a high chance of breaking the clips....and it will be useless as you will be using the same kidney grilles.

Thanks mate, the alarm siren and everything still seems to be there, the previous owner was my uncle so I'll run it by him

Open your bonnet and tell me if you can see a siren next to air-intake box .... Tell me what it says "2T or 3T, 3G, MK etc etc".... Then i'll tell you what you need to know.

Yes you can, just like what @DerekJr. has said.
But make sure the bulbs are "SMD" (these are bright enough) .... don't buy anything that doesn't say "SMD LED" as otherwise regular LED's arent bright enough at night.

There is nothing at the air box side but this siren is at the drivers side, I can't see any 2t, 3t or anything, I've taken some pics,

Okay looks like you either have 3GMk1 or 3GMk2, which means you can buy a replacement fob off ebay & it is "possible" to program it by yourself ....but this bold link right here will explain everything in more detail...
