2004 E46 330ci - Rough Idle / Lambda Errors

Hey guys,

Today all of a sudden my car started feeling misfiry on idle.

Presuming I've got an air leak somewhere?

Stupidly my bonnet wasn't closed properly so I need someone to help me open it up and there is no one around at the moment.

Bit of a long shot but can different fuel cause this error? I used v power from a different petrol station the other day, and got well below 50 mile range. I've just filled up do you think it will go away now its diluted?

Is your EML on?

No warning lights on my dash. I've got INPA but haven't managed to install it properly so can't look for codes/live data.

My rough idle happens at cold start and the goes after engine has run for a min.

Don't think it has anything to do with fuel mixture. Been on vpower only for over a year

I didn't trust this garage, very dodgy looking shell but I was in a unfamiliar area.

Going to see if it clears up on its own.

Need to get under the bonnet first to see if there is any issues, I suspect its that ruddy DISA valve!

Have you cleaned your MAF yet? Very easy to do and probably worth doing even if you haven't got rough idle

No not yet.

The initial thing I was thinking of checking was for air leaks on/around the intake and DISA.

Need to wait for someone to get home first so they can pop the hood for me.

The bowden cable is still working, but the little catches look a little ceased.

Managed to pop the kidney grilles off and I've lubed it up for the time being, pain the arse car.

227 and 228 is classic vac leak ya long term fuel trim data in inpa may confirm it if its over +8% its enought to trigger the EML light...

Sorry to ask, but how do I navigate to the fuel trim data in inpa?
