    starting issues

    Ok I'm stumpped why the car won't turn over? Before it went to paint shop it was fine, they had doors bonnet boot off, and battery disconnected for up to 3 months. Then when I went to pick it up, just couldn't get it to start? Locking it with the fob , unlocking it fine, power lights come on. Then after 5 mins it started. Got it off transporter. Now I can't seem to get it to turn over?? What could have happened in that time?? Anyone help me here? battery's good,checked the engine earth! immobiliser?? all lights come on dash,i badly need some help here.can ya help me solve this?

    what happens when you start it, does the dash go out? or does it just not respond at all?

    Charge battery or get a new battery, or even use a volt meter to see if you need a battery. Ic coule just be a coincidence and a dodgy starter solenoid / motor or connection. Basically if you put dip beam on and when trying to turn over the lights fade a lot or go out it's battery, especially if you get nice click click clicking from solenoid

    Won't it need recoding if the battery was disconnected for 3 months?

    Maybe the garage replaced something on your car with a faulty part?

    What happens when you turn the key? Any noise?

    When turning the ignition on can you hear the fuel pump prime? If so then it sounds like a starter or battery issue, if not then it may be immobiliser.
