Morning guys and gals
Hopefully someone can help me here. I've not been lazy , I've done some research before posting but could do with some clarification. So, my gear shift is a little sloppy and while its up on the ramp for its MOT and service in a few weeks I thought it would be a good idea to replace worn parts of the gear linkage. At the same time would it be worth doing a short shift conversion using a Z4 (E85) Shift lever? Or will this hit on the lever surround due to the angel of the new (potential) lever?
On to the parts that i figured needed replacing:

No. 7 - 25111220600
No. 10 - 25111220439
No. 11 - 25117571899
No. 12 - 25117580281
E46 - RealOEM.com * BMW E46 323Ci Gearbox shifting part
And of course the shifter off the Z4
No. 5 - 25117543192
Z4 - RealOEM.com * BMW E85 Z4 2.5i Gearbox shifting part
And i would of course get the clubsport gear knob but replace the top of it with a 5 speed non sport 'face' (really not sure what its called).
Any feedback / opinions are more than welcome
EDIT: Having done a little more research I believe the E90 / E91 325xi & 330xi shifter fit
No. 8 - 25117553172
E90/E91 - RealOEM.com * BMW E92 330xi Gear shift parts,manual transm./4-wheel
But what would work better, Z4 or E90/E91. This I cant seem to find the answer to.....
