    Ash tray

My front ash tray will not return to the closed position, any ideas on how to fix it?

The surround comes out as a complete unit..

Pull the trim upwards from the gaitor area by the gear selector (only about 6 clips hold it in place), you can get to the mechanism of the ash tray - I guess something is jammed in there...

I don't have any pictures of the mechanism I am afraid but it's pretty easy.

Wellington uses www.bmwforums.info - Wombles are never wrong..
