d Touring - Wet headlining and gear stick surrounding areas...

Left my car stood for a couple of weeks, get in, gear surround looks like this...

Headlining around the interior light is soaked...

    Two questions.

    1. WHY!? :
    2. How do I stop the elements entering via the roof...:

List of things to do is growing...

    Cheers,
    Phil.

If it does as Bhav suggests the drain channels located at the front corners will more than likely be blocked, I used to use a length of welding rod to clean mine out on my old pug?

    Should have said, no sunroof...

I'm wondering if it's getting in under the roof bars somewhere and channeling to the middle. I was parked facing downhill so that would make sense.

That would have been my next guess too Don, I wonder if @Jim might be able to shed some light on this situation as he also has a touring?

Oh and I notice your touring has heated seats oh the luxury , are they fully leccy too?

How the fuck is that getting in through the roof

The gearstick is further back that the line of the windscreen isn't it?

Yeah someone had fun with options on this one. Heated leather seats, full electric seats, steering wheel controls, business stereo with 6cd changer, electric windows all round, electric folding mirrors, air con and climate control, oh, parrot has been installed at some point too

    It was literally soaked.

Yeah the gearstick is further back than top line of the windscreen, the seal looks tight on windscreen.

The roof bars would be my first guess but I would also check under the rear roof spoiler can't be 100% but am sure there is a large grommet between that and the roof for some wiring

Do you have one of those stumpy aerials in the roof, just a thought another place for water to get in and run along the wire in between the headlining and roof,

No aerial on the roof at all. Was wondering where it's hidden actually. Do some have them in the rear windscreen or something...?
