Right guys I need some help!
My E36 Coupe headlights like many are misted up! I've tried all the usual to get them to de-mist but had no joy, even when they clear it's only temporary, usually within a short amount of time they are back to their condensed state again which I'm sure you'll agree looks awful and really lets the car down. Now in my attempts to clear them the glass on the passenger side unit has cracked - my fault entirely (had a heater blowing against the lense . . . then it rained! Rain and hot glass do not mix!!!!)
So, as I'm now sick to the back teeth of the front end looking a mess I'm considering some replacement units. My car has the Bosch projector headlights with the dimples on the top, I'm keen to replace like for like but don't really want to pay the hefty price tag plus don't want to go through this again which is why I'm not convinced at buying a second hand set of eBay. I don't want Hella chrome units but am not against Angel Eye or HID's, infact I'd quite like both, I want the look of the unit to remain as close to the original as possible. I did consider replacement lenses off BMW but they are well over £100 and I don't know if that would even fix the issue!
I was wondering if anybody else had replaced and if so what with? I see the DEPO units are reasonably priced but get mixed reviews!
All I want is a simple unit that doesn't mist and looks the part - I sometimes think that's too much to ask!!!!
So, any advice much appreciated! Cheers, Matt
