    Not Start

Hello I have a 1994 BMW 318i, and it does not start,
it turns all the lights on the dashboard, but when I put the key in position 2 the starter does not turn.

I did take it in stride and she's normal, my oil change light is lit. The fact that it's past time to change the oil or the oil level being low, it can cause it nor sign of life? Thanks!

Sounds like a flat battery or a starter motor stuck - you could try putting the car in gear and rocking it a bit to see if that frees it off.

Failing that, try jump starting it with a running car and a set of jump leads.

The battery is not already tested it with another, the starter did not believe it because the car did catch in stride and then I hung up he caught again, but then he goes back to not working.

Perhaps it could be a bad earth to the engine, you could try putting a jump leap from the battery negative straight to the body of the starter motor/engine block.

I will test the earth to the engine. Looks a good hint.

But i have a doubt, the BMW 318i no have a self protection when the oil passes of the time of change? or something else?

It's only a reminder/indicator - it does not prevent the engine starting or restrict anything..

Low level of oil can do this problem?
