Hello guys, I have a weired power problem. Sorry if it has been asked before, I did a search and only found threads relating to the 6 cylinders.
So basically, when accelerating in first gear I find the power delivery is sometimes very jerky, as if the the car doesn't know how much fuel to inject into the engine. It has nothing to do with the clutch might I add, this is when I am off the clutch pedal completely. It also seems to happen more under heavier acceleration, when pulling out of a junction quickly for example.
I sometimes find there is little power and then all of a sudden the car lurches forward aggressively. As above this only seems to be the case in first gear, although it happened once in second too.
So, can anyone help? Is it likely to be some kind of sensor issue? The car is an e46 coupe 2001, 2.0 N42 Valvetronic engine. Cheers in advance.
