So thought its a good day and changed the gearbox and diff oil to 80w-90. I changed it a year ago to 75w-90 and although changes felt better the gearbox was slightly stiff and notchy when the car was cold. So i thought id put some 80w-90 instead which is a bit thicker and it definitely seems better, of course i cant really tell yet if the stiffness problem has improved yet as its fairly hot outside but the clunkiness is much better.
The clunk when changing gear has improved too, ( btw diff bushes are fine and ive replaced the rear diff bush anyway) but there is still a small clunk when changing (subframe bushes to change next on the list). Should have taken half an hour but took more like 1.5 because the stupid gunson pressure bleeder has seen better days and kept leaking so had to hold the pipes in and literally wait minutes and minutes for half a litre to go in.
