Had a little accident yesterday afternoon and I just don't know what happened...I thought i was chnaging something for the better.
Yesterday, I removed both Solenoid valves at the front of the engine in order to change the O-Rings which were already perished. I cleaned both and put them back in the engine like normal and started the car to check that all was ok.
Suddendly, the car started jumping and sounded like a diesel with a loud clacking sound. I knew somerthing was wrong. I tried to rev a few times to see if it would go away and then the car stalled several times. I plugged in inpa to try and get an idea was the problem was and then it came up with both the Inlet and outlet cam sensors and vanos.
I knew the inlet cam sensor was a problem before as this was already showing but now its showing the outlet too. I tried driving her and there is absolutely no power and the car stalls several times if driving under 30mph and if the revs are under a 1000. Not good. If i slow down at the traffic lights, the engine switches off.
Please advise guys.... What do you think? Have I not conencted the Solenoid valves back incorrectly or something.??
Why is that loud clacking sound there? btw, i didnt even get a change to change the inlet cam sensor to a new one because i couldnt get it off. It seems stuck somehow and I couldnt unscrew the bolt..
