Tips if you want to upgrade your angel eyes

Hey after a lot of faffing around I thought I'd do a review of the angel eye upgrade bulbs I have had in my E60 so hopefully it will save somebody from being disappointed when the bulbs they buy don't live up to expectations

This is for Pre LCI cars with factory fitted xenon headlights

First kit I got was a 5W kit from HIDS4U and seemed pretty promising in the advert. Got them and installed them and was bitterly disappointed.

They firstly were not bright enough to been seen during the day and one side of the car was brighter than the other as for some weird reason one of the bulbs would not fit snug into the bulb holder which meant light was lost.

Most of the kits on eBay are these bulbs so I would stay away as you are wasting 30 quid.

I then upgraded my bulbs to CREE 10W bulbs from eBay which were slightly more expensive at 55

I am really impressed with them

    Fit perfectly into bulb holders
    No OBC errors
    Both sides same brightness
    Extremely bright at night
    Perfectly visible during the day

I wish I had went for the CREE bulbs at the start instead of going the cheaper route as I am paying for it now but hopefully my mistakes will help someone in the future

So if you are looking to upgrade you angel eyes to white and have them visible during the day make sure they are CREE bulbs

    Pics to follow
