    Please help ....Engine vibration

Hi there guys I have a slight issue with my 520d. Now I know the chain rattle sound and the service bulletin regarding exhaust mount. But I have a vibration at idle it doesn't vibrate at other time. 800rpm only soon as I put foot on throttle it goes I've had car in air and exhaust system is solid all the way through. Recently had new turbo but that is fine.I'm concerned as its not air box as I've already secured that.engine cover is off because that makes it worse .and it resonates through back box ....any thoughts thanks in advance.

Hi Mobsbye60 , as you've dismissed the more common exhaust heatshield and air filter cover as the cause of your vibration at idle then I'm afraid you'll need
further investigations in the guise of a diagnostic scan , paying particular attention to the injector fuel delivery at idle as I suspect one of your injectors is failing?

Hi simonsays thanks for your swift reply. I thought this might be the case.but I'm aware of how expensive they are the car does have warranty so I guess next bit is go to ind specialist and have a diagnostic run.

Prices do vary from place to place, my local indy charges about 60 but that includes 1/2hr labour?

So I've been down autotech and no codes showing (good news) I also made him take a quick look at the car and he mentioned engine mounts and transmission mounts but I get no vibration when changine gear it is simply at idle of 850rpm.so low and behold I've ordered new engine mounts and gearbox mount.got a guy coming Tuesday to fit and I'll let you know how I get on....but it is now doing my head in having a nice car that sounds like a tractor at traffic lights.

What happened when you fitted the new mounts? I have similar problems with my E61 N47. Thanks
