Hi peeps, just trying to figure out what type of lead I need, I removed the old 4:3 satnat system and bought a used SONY CD player headunit (old style) the pictures above, the connector, converter I would use is only cheap from Halfords, but, the main connector is in the boot, that the adaptor fits onto, is there a adaptor with extra long wires on it so I can connect the adaptor to it then filter the leads all the way upto where the satnav screen used to be?
I saw one lead but can't seem to find it again but it was like £90 for just the adaptor with extra long wires on :O
I can easily buy the adapter below, but is it worth just chopping it, buying lengths of wires to make it so that the head unit adapters connect to one end of the adapter, then add the extra wires so the other end of the adapter stretches to the boot of the car? If so, what type of wire do I need? Any decent quality for the power and grounds etc etc? As I can just add speaker cable for all the speaker terminals.
