Now I have started thread on the other forum very long time ago. Basically when I was going over the bumps my panoramic roof was making awful noises, and when investigating it seems that large glass panel seemed pretty loose. So I pulled the rubber gaiters out only to find out all the bolts were as tight as they could be but the roof when pressed on the back corners seemed still loose. Only way to live with the annoyance was to having the roof open or vented or sun blind shut and louder music on. I did not come across the answer, all I could see on the different forums was the wind noise and that was cured by seal replacement.
I decided to spend £20 on the new roof seal (54107199533) the other day and fitted the new seal yesterday. Wow, what a difference! The car is super quiet no matter if I have sun bind open or closed and there are no more noises when on uneven or bumpy road.
the hardest part will be taking the old one out. pulled old one straight up. some of the glue left on the roof frame. my way was to rub it down with fingers (ouch). clean the frame with alcohol or adhesive cleaner at least twice. close the roof fully, put the new seal in but do not peel off the protective tape yet. Align and cut the new seal. once you are happy with it, peel off carefully the protective tape, the new seal will stay in the place. After that, just reinitialize roof with new seal and thats it. - to reinitialize, open the blind fully, press and hold the button UP untill the roof cycles through vent, open, close, blind close. should take about 70 seconds, then release the button and thats it.
Hope someone will find this useful and this is for all with panoramic sunroof not just 5 series.
