    As with all bmw 6 cylinder engines if looked after both the petrol & diesel at that mileage can still be reliable and relatively powerful.
    Thoroughly check the service & maintenance history for fuel system, cooling system & suspension components?
    For low annual mileage I'd opt for the petrol but for higher miles the diesel but a test drive of both is definitely advised.

    If you're still undecided maybe call in to a local BMW specialist & ask for their advice, also an hours vehicle inspection at one of these independents can save you a heap of cash & headache in the long run?
