E46 330ci Sport - best springs for standard M Sport suspension setup?

Right, I think I've got a cracked rear spring so I'm going to lower the car with some fresh new springs.

I just am not sure what my best option is for my 330ci as it has standard sport suspension.

I've looked at eibach, H&R, KW, Spax and a few others but can't decide.

I want it to look lowered but not slammed, and I do want to keep the ride quality so progressively wound springs would be best I guess?

    Suggestions please? Ideally with pictures.

I'm definitely going to lower it.. Thinking it's between sportlines and H&R

When it says "cars with M Sport suspension will be lowered less" how much by does it mean?

I feel H&R may lower it too much..

Can't remember what the quotes figure is but there was a slight drop when I upgraded. There is a more noticeable drop on the front which won't apply to you in this case.

Why don't you change the frot springs also? I'd recommend you upgrade to shorter shocks also. Handling will improve by a vast amount. I made the mistake of sticking with standard OEM shocks

I am changing front springs aswell mate..

And my shocks are fine, no need to change them

I had weitec springs on my last E46 which lowered it 55mm and kept standard shocks, handled brilliantly

Some pics for you, taken on the day I got my eibach sportlines (and wheels changed)

Ok, firstly I was running standard
    225/40/18
    255/35/18

    I then upgraded to
    235/35/19
    265/30/19

    This means radius moves from
    63.98cm
    61.695cm
    to
    65.205cm
    62.79cm

so a slightly bigger wheel, filling the arch by 1cm more. I.e. adding 1cm more drop that you would not get if you kept your existing wheels.
