    Carbon fibre from China

Anyone bought any CF bits from across the waters? Looking at a few bits on ebay which I must admit seem good quality from the pictures they have up...but I don't want to get stung! and when they turn up the weave is crap looking and the parts aren't an exact fit with gaps etc!

Just remember to factor in any import duty....plus any returns as you allude to will be drawn out.

You get what you pay for. Anyone I've spoken to has said that it fades after a short while. Quality c/f doesn't do that. What bits are you looking at?

Be careful what you say DD. The company I work for has a factory in China and sometimes the products are better made then our factory in the UK

Don't tar everyone with the same brush.

got to disagree...I they are realising that with improved quality they can and will reach a bigger market so quality is on the up...he said! lolol! After a mate of mine took the plunge and bought some after market brake levers for his bike I had to follow suit. Apart from it having no brand logo it was EXACTLY the same in every single way...quality and all.

I have since ordered front cf splitters for my car from Taiwan so will be able to confirm...suppose I'll be the guinea pig if you can hold out till they reach. I ordered them just over a week ago now.

Its not the actual carbon fibre that fades its the shit non UV plastic resin they use- or anybody uses. I get stuff from China often because what I get is not manufactured anywhere else in the world and if it was it would not be nearly as cheap.......

Make sure if you get CF parts that they have used a UV resistant resin and you won't go wrong
