    320d central locking problem

    Hi,

I have a 54 plate 320d. As normal with a car this old, the batteries are flat in the key fobs, so the only way to lock the doors is with the key.

But the problem with this is, I have to physically lock the door 9 times for the doors to stay locked, it's always 9 times which I guess this maybe some form of code for a fault??

The central locking button inside the car works fine.

    Thanks

Try placing one of your remote keys on an electric toothbrush charger base & charge it up overnight.
If that doesn't work you could replace the battery in the remote as per..
    BMW E46 key battery replacement.

It sounds like the Central Electronics Module may not be happy. I'd start by scanning for faults there, and if it's showing multiple locking relay faults, write them down, then clear them, then cycle your lock system to see what, if any, return.
